October 15, 2013 | Fall Vibes

Fall is here and it is sort-a starting to feel like it here in Florida...sort-a.
But we have definitely started pulling out our sweaters, scarves and boots...even if it is a little on the hot side some days. Even if the Florida weather hasn't given in to Fall just yet, we certainly can't help but start putting out of our favorite seasonal decor either! We wanted to do something a little different this year and were very inspired by this pumpkin trio we found on Pinterest! We loved the colors, the fun geometric patterns and of course...the monogram!

We decided to make 6 pumpkins inspired from our pin. We wanted a nice variety of shape and size to create a nice assortment for a display.

Next we chose which pumpkins would stay orange, which we would paint black/white and what patterns we wanted on each one. We wanted to mix up our color combinations, sizes and style.

The only other supplies we used (besides our vinyl stickers) were two foam brushes and an 8 fl oz bottle of white and black acrylic paint!
So then we got to painting...

We wanted our pumpkins nice and covered and so applied between 3 to 5 coats of black paint and about 8 to 10 of white. Allowing them to dry between each coat.

Once the final coat of paint had dried we applied our vinyl!

We LOVE how the final product turned out and the pumpkins are so cute displayed together!
How adorable would they be on a mantle or a front porch?!
We used real pumpkins but fake ones would work just as well (and you would be able to reused them next year!). We also think they will work perfectly not only for Halloween, but through Thanksgiving as well.

Come in to the store and check them out in person!
You can even bring in your own pumpkin and have us add a monogram, dots or any of the patterns you see here! We would love to see what you come up with for your own holiday decor!
